The annual Mexican Independence Day celebration at Solano Community College takes place in Solano County in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Dr. Espinoza has been invited to speak across the nation on topics ranging from cultural and gender issues to educational research on retention and student success. Underlying all her work is the experience of being the daughter of an immigrant mother who never gave up.
